Very nice newly renovated house, but with the historic feeling which I absolutely loved - with wooden beams on the ceiling and very nice coutry style furniture. The house has 2 rooms, 2 bathrooms and a kitchen. Everything was clean and it was equipped with all we needed, including coffe or tea. It also has a terrace with seating and a garden. Very close to Szigliget castle (I recomend a visit here, it has beautiful views of the Balaton lake), but still in a very calm village, close to Balaton lake.

I say upfront we fell in love with Balaton and staying at the "csillag tenger" house was essential to our experience... the traditional vineyard house is up in the hills overlooking Balaton lake, masterly reconstructed, efficient and attractive décor creating a wonderful ambient. Equipped with all you need incl. fine coal grill and outside fireplace. The patio creates a lovely shade and atmosphere for the evening talks over tasty local wines. The bonus of the property is though a few steps up the garden where the host set 2 comfy chairs - the ultimate sky observatory. We were lucky to enjoy clear skies lit with stars counting Perseids. The house was spacious and nicely decorated. We loved the beautiful garden with magnificent view at the Balaton lake. There was plenty of equipment in the house just as washing machine, microwave oven etc. Also the owners are especially hospitable and friendly- absolutely recommended.
