The place was a stop over to Portsmouth so we needed somewhere to stay overnight. The area was quiet and met all our needs, with secure parking and you had the choice to bring and prepare dinner yourself or order some in, which we did thanks to some advice from the people who run Chambers Place. We had a small child with us and she had plenty to keep them occupied. Also, we had our dog with us and were warned that there was free roaming chickens etc so we did keep her on the lead. It was nice to be greeted by them in the morning.

They knew that the room would be cold and had a heater in the room for customers discretion. Nice, light and bright room with nice decor. Not ott, not underwhelming, just right. Location had plenty shops nearby, and close to a bus stop into vity center but DO NOT ORDER FROM THE CHINESE RESTAURANT!

Was fantastic! Great location in Reading near the city centre. Only a little walk to the train station from where it’s easy and fast to get to London. Also other nice cities and places are good connected. Property was perfect for us and everything was there what we needed. We already think of going there again!

The drive from Henley was down a narrow lane, I would not want to have to find the place at night.
First impressions of the pub were lovely thatched country pub, welcomed with a real fire in the bar.
