Situated in the heart of Constable Country, Poplars Farmhouse B&B is set amongst fields and trees, and is less than a 12-minute walk from Stoke-by-Nayland. This 17th Century farmhouse offers free Wi-Fi throughout and there is free private parking on site.

Poplars Farmhouse was the most amazing stay - the old farmhouse is beautifully furnished with warm, comfortable beds and a spacious bathroom in our room. The hosts are welcoming and provided lots of ideas for our stay. The tea and cake on arrival was hugely appreciated! The breakfasts offer lots of homemade, tasty options and are so beautifully presented it's a challenge to tuck in, but OMW they are good! Thank you so much - we loved our stay!

This was our second stay at this very comfortable and well equipped cottage. A pretty garden with seating areas at the back was also well used as we had superb weather for October. All facilities were good, though one or two extras would have helped: a dustpan & brush (unless we didn't manage to find them 🤣 ); a large pan for pasta and also a larger frying pan. Small points - we would still highly recommend Constable Lodge, and plan to return ourselves.

The location was incredible. If you're looking for a quintessential English countryside experience, stay here. Village pubs just a stroll away and the most stunning house and setting. And "exceptional" is definitely the right word for the breakfast!

This was an excellent overnight stay in very comfortable and spotlessly maintained surroundings. It wasn't cheap, but the quality of the service and the restaurant justified the expense. The ancient village inn had been completely refurbished in a charming and elegant style. The restaurant menu was a gastronomic treat - inventive and creative cooking in a stylish and intimate environment.

A restful place in a beautiful setting. Breakfast was exceptional, the antique furnishings lovely, and the size of our room was much larger than anticipated. We enjoyed walking in the countryside and had excellent meals at nearby restaurants (The Angel, The Crowne). The farmhouse is well-situated for exploring the Suffolk history and small towns and villages. The host was most congenial and helpful.

Fantastic hosts. From my arrival, where I was given a slice of cake to have with my coffee, to directions of how to get to the village pub, it was a wonderful experience. Breakfast omelette was lovely and room was clean and tidy. Look forward to visiting again

We liked - loved - everything! The property is beautiful, and absolutely what we wanted on our break. The peace and quiet, and the hospitality - superb. Plus, one can take a short, charming walk across country up into the village to The Crown pub and restaurant, which has a great menu (takes about 15 mins).

What a lovely B&B. We had an excellent stay in a very comfortable room with a spectacular view of the garden at the property. It was immaculately clean and was refreshed daily which was lovely. The breakfast was delicious (in particular the many types of granola and homemade yoghurt) and very generous. It's in a beautiful part of the world and is also close to a couple of lovely restaurants and a little village.

Lovely, very well run pub with quality rooms. Food and service were excellent. Very nice country walks and the village was very interesting. We had Sunday lunch, dinner and breakfast here and they were way better than the norm.

Lovely old farmhouse, renovated to a very high standard, with a beautiful garden, in an extremely quiet and picturesque location. Easy to find, despite its remote location down a narrow lane. Excellent breakfast, with plenty of options, cooked perfectly to order. Short scenic walk to the village pub which offers good food.
