The Barn is a beautiful, comfortable and exceedingly clean place to stay. Parking easy, lovely to have a sitting area where we could have a coffee and read/chill out and admire the views. Didn't use the patio/firepit on this visit but nice to have the option if you want it. Liz and her husband were so friendly and welcoming and that really made our stay special. Full English breakfast was great and all in all it was a very relaxing stay in a fabulous location, would certainly stay again if we re-visit the area. Short walk to the famous windmill, so we stretched our legs there after breakfast before heading home. Highly recommended.

The location was fab! Breakfast was amazing, with homegrown fruit and warm pastries! Charlie (Host) made us feel really welcome and safe😊 we took our dog, and we were shown walking locations and recommended dog friendly places to have dinner! Honestly, I couldn't rate this any higher 😊

Gorgeous little village pub and accommodation block, staff were all very friendly and helpful, lovely cooked breakfast each morning and Daphne is a great host, great value for money, location is perfect for plenty of attractions to visit nearby, we even extended our stay.

Contrary to what I expected as I thought it was going to be a room above the pub, it was not. It was a separate purpose built building next to the pub, the room was spacious, modern, clean and comfortable. We had pets and the room even came with its own small walled yard. Plenty of space for parking the car. The Landlady Daphne is very friendly and welcoming as well as all her staff, and the food at the pub was exquisite! The village is lovely surrounded by beautiful countryside fields. I thoroughly enjoyed our stay!
We really liked the place, very clean, nicely furnished and decorated! Very easy to find and to get in, even if we arrived quite late thanks to the keybox. The kids loved the games in the living room! The village is lovely and very quiet/peaceful.
Cottage was wonderful, clean, comfy, everything we wanted and our dog loved it as well, he could lay outside on patio. Village pub is very good, all villages we met were extremely friendly. We are planning on going back. Host texted use to make sure all was well, nice touch.

The Merrie Lion is a delightful pub and inn with exceptional service. Everyone was warm, kind, and friendly and so attentive to our needs. Every meal we had was delicious--especially the breakfasts each morning. The room was well appointed with modern yet cozy decor. The room was immaculately clean and the bed was very comfortable.
