Hosts replied quickly to any messages. The extra travel directions were very useful and the check in was easy. The location was great for us - close to Solfest. Great accommodation, beautiful master bedroom, good bathroom. Beautiful walled garden with orchard, plenty of benches to sit and enjoy the garden.

Beautiful, spacious chapel conversion in very quiet location. Friendly and accommodating hostess. Excellent breakfast. High quality rooms. In a tiny hamlet so you will need to drive to get dinner. Not a problem as the Steamboat Inn on coast a little over a mile away has very good food and drink,

Hotel set in a lovely tranquil lawned garden which could be accessed from the patio area out of the drawing room. The bedroom we had overlooked the garden and was wonderfully quiet. We had the windows open and enjoyed the fresh county air and birdsong. The bedroom was large, the bed extremely comfortable and made up in crisp white bedlinen. The bathroom was also large and functioned well though it looked a little dated. Breakfast and Dinner were both delicious, good portions and all the food was thoughtfully prepared and well cooked. A nice selection of local cheeses too. Wine selection very good and a large selection of drink at the bar area. We were very well looked after and enjoyed the elegant furnishings and surroundings of the hotel. A treat to stay somewhere so relaxing and peaceful.

The van was in very good condition (almost new) and very clean and ready on our arrival. The view was as stated (although obscured a lot of time because of the weather) and a nice little touch was the tea and coffee tray with along with a coffee making machine.
Elite Holiday Caravan, a property with a terrace, is situated in Bassenthwaite, 32 km from Buttermere, 24 km from Whinlatter Forest Park, as well as 25 km from Cat Bells.
We had an amazing stay, caravan is very nice and clean, size-wise was bigger than expected which is great. Location was also awesome, very close to the sea and village centre. Host has been amazing, very helpful and responsive. We would definitely recommend!
Everything. From start booking until leaving. Sue was a fantastic host. Nothing was a problem. A beautiful holiday home from home, and really personal touches make your stay special from the start.
Will be back many times again if sue will have us.
