Wendy & Steve who run the hotel were exceptional hosts, they made us feel very welcome from the moment we arrived, nothing was too much trouble, breakfast was amazing, the rooms were lovely & clean & a good size, the garden with seating outside was lovely & you could tell it was well looked after. The homemade cake (made by Wendy) for guests to help themselves to was an added bonus & tasted lovely. I would certainly recommend the Berburry Hotel to anyone wishing to visit Torquay. Thank you to you both for making our first visit to Torquay a pleasurable experience, it certainly won't be our last visit.

The property was situated in a quiet area of Torquay, within walking distance of both the town centre, local restaurants and the beach. The friendly couple running the Cleveland were very accommodating and went above and beyond to ensure our stay was of the highest standard. The traditional home-cooked breakfast was amazing, with both my partner and I agreeing that the scrambled eggs were the best we’ve ever had! The room was spotless, vibrant and very spacious, with the bed being extremely comfortable and relaxing. We both had a great nights sleep and very much appreciated the complimentary tea, coffee and other special touches provided to us. We would definitely return and would definitely recommend this bed and breakfast to others! Thank you to Lissanne and Matt for making your bed and breakfast feel like a home from home. :)

Billy and Shona were great hosts. The room was clean and comfortable. The bar was well stocked and inviting. Breakfast was outstanding. When we visit Torquay again, we will have no hesitation in returning.

We loved our stay, Sally was exceptionally helpful, nothing was too much trouble. The fridge in the room with bottles of water and fresh milk when needed was a lovely touch. Room was spotless and the bed was so comfortable. We will definitely be returning and would highly recommend as it as it within walking distance to the train station and a very short walk to the sea front and to the town.

The Secret Well is a beautifully furnished, spacious cottage in a lovely quiet location that can easily accommodate 6 people. With two separate bathrooms it is ideal for larger groups / families. It is located around a 1000m from the quaint holiday village of Shaldon and a 10-minute bus ride or even shorter ferry boat trip to the larger seaside resort of Teignmouth which was a bonus. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will be back!
The apartment was so clean and was full of character and charm. The owners were very friendly and left us a welcome bottle of fizz which was a lovely touch. Everything in Shaldon was in walking distance and the village itself was beautiful with some amazing places to eat. We took a little boat over to Teignmouth and really enjoyed walking along the seaside promenade. Highly recommended this location and the accommodation.
We had an enjoyable 2 night stay at the cottage. Superb location, very close to the village store and heart of the village.
Key collection was easy. The property is very clean and well appointed, we felt like we were at home. The beds were super comfy too.
We walked to 'The Ness' pub for an evening meal one night - great food and views!
This bijou property is perfect for two or a family using the comfortable sofa bed. The sofa bed was already made up for us on arrival. Kitchen very well appointed with coffee machine and milk in the fridge. Very cosy and warm. Property is attached to the host's house and part of the garden is segregated off for the rental. Direct views to the estuary, rabbits in the garden and a lovely walk along the edge of the river to get to the village centre. Our hosts were very helpful and friendly. Definitely recommended.
