Everything about Spilstead Barn was perfect for us. The Barn is extremely well equipped and felt like a home from home set in beautiful countryside. Very easy access to Battle and Hastings and not too far from Rye and the beaches at Camber for a great outing with the dogs. Roger and Ronnie are great hosts and we would not hesitate to recommend this wonderful place.

Despite the negatives, if you're better prepared than us, it's a nice place to stay. It's a well appointed, good sized place with a bedroom and bathroom at each end of the lounge/kitchen/diner. Good access to local stuff which isn't too far away in the car. Place was lovely and clean. Bedding and towels provided. Dog friendly. Quiet. Didn't get shot by the neighbours.
