The location was breathtaking, honestly just perfect, if you want to be close to the rugged northern coast of Scotland.

Very basic room, small but ok. Same with Bathroom. No additional facilities such as a residents lounge. Leaving early 07:30 so breakfast not available but a reasonable packed breakfast. but once again a small room so not realy great for taking it. OK but not great value for money.

I recently stayed in a self-service pod near Thurso along the NC500 route in the Scottish Highlands, and it was a memorable experience. The pod was a well-equipped wooden retreat with convenient parking right by the entrance.
The area surrounding the pod was excellent for wildlife observation—within a mile, we spotted deer and even a falcon, which added a unique charm to our stay. The space was thoughtfully designed, offering a variety of entertainment options both indoors and outdoors, ensuring there was always something enjoyable to do.
One area for improvement is the heating system. We found it challenging to maintain a comfortable temperature, as it was often either too cold or too warm. Upgrading the heating system would significantly enhance the overall comfort of the stay.

A very spacious, comfortable and well-equipped room in a delightful house. An excellent hostess who looked after us very well and who provided (in the rooms) an information booklet second to none. (I only wish I had time to read it more thoroughly). The house was in a quiet location, with ample car parking, only a 5 minute walk from the town centre. The breakfast was excellent. Overall, good value for money.
Very quiet location. Very comfortable property. It is not far from a village with shops and a petrol station, which isn't mentioned in the property description (it only mentions that Thurso is 8 miles away).
It is a small property, but certainly a lot larger than a hotel room. If you were with a family you'd want to book the main building or all 3 properties, but for a single person or a couple it is fine.
I'd certainly be happy to stay again.
