The location and the charm of the house and the neighborhood, which is so close to Hilltop, Beatrix Potter's house, and the beautiful green fields with stone walls encircling an abundance of sheep. The hosts were wonderful and so welcoming. The full English breakfast was superb and delicious. Steve even went out of his way to drive us to the next town so we could catch a boat to cross the lake. Belle Green B & B is within a 5 minute walk from the Beatrix Potter house and a charming tavern where we could eat dinner. When we got home from dinner, Steve built a fire in the fireplace so we could sit in the living room and relax. Steve and Ann are the best hosts. Soon after booking the room, Ann sent a message to me with advice for how to get there, recommendations for where to eat dinner, and guidance for booking our tickets to Hilltop.

We loved absolutely everything! As a huge Beatrix Potter fan it was amazing to stay in an actual cottage that was featured in a few of her books. The historical factor, how pretty the cottage is both inside and out, the décoré, the location! It was all so beautiful- not a single fault to be had. And Robert, the fantastic owner, is one in a million.

I love the location though definitely want to have a car for how remote the location is unless you are like me and don’t mind 40 minutes walks to get to the nearest village. Walks were beautiful. Location is beautiful. Property was nice and clean and I found nothing broken. Everything worked perfectly.

The location of these apartments was excellent. Very clean and beautiful views over esthwaite lake. Excellent value for money and a 5 minute drive from Hawkshead which had a number of pubs/restaurants and a mini supermarket. It was quiet and there was enough parking. Easy ro find using what3words and well sign posted when we arrived.

Lovely cottage tucked away down a track looking over the lake and next to Cunsey beck. Comfortable cottage. Nice touch from Graythwaite estate to leave a small hamper of local goods. Also nice to be able to book to use the pool.

The cottage itself was a cozy dream, well-equipped with all the necessary facilities, and came with a thoughtful touch: one bath towel and one hand towel per person together with a washing sponge, dishcloths, and dishwashing tablets too. The guaranteed reserved parking was a huge perk, especially for travelers with a car. There's even a lake nearby, perfect for adding a scenic touch to your walks in the beautiful surroundings.
