The weather was unseasonably cold with a gusty northerly wind, so I was pleased to find that the heating was on and we were very cosy in our room. It was comfortable with everything we needed and plentiful hot water in the bathroom. Having the little kitchenette hidden behind cupboard doors was very useful. We didn't use the combination microwave but if we had, we probably would have appreciated a manual to help us.
We had a comprehensive choice of cooked breakfasts as well as a cold buffet and I was pleased that they were able to supply gluten free sausages and bread for me. The staff were attentive, efficient and friendly and made us feel like we mattered.
It was blissfully quiet in our room and when we went for breakfast, other guests we talked to all said how pleased they were to have found such a great place to stay.
There are lots of places to visit in the surrounding area, but you do need a car. We were very happy to see several car charging stations. They seemed expensive, but when we looked around, all the other charge points in the area were even more expensive, so it was worth charging here - and so convenient.
I would definitely recommend this as a place to stay.

The location of the hotel was perfect - a nice easy stroll down the hill to the village. The owners are very friendly and lovely to chat to.
Breakfast was delicious. They were worried about making breakfast for 6 of us at once (especially at the end of breakfast service) but did a great job!

Lorraine and Paul are extremely warm and welcoming hosts. The rooms were incredibly clean and the beds extremely comfortable. There were numerous breakfast options at very reasonable cost. Nothing was too much trouble. We highly recommend

Absolutely stunning location, lovely views, , beautiful house, plenty of room, clean, good nights sleep, found the beds so comfortable.
Well equipped. My favourite room was the huge kitchen, but my favourite time was first thing before everyone else was awake, I sat outside having a coffee listening to the animals I could hear, no noises but nature.
