Newly renovated property that was clean, tidy and very comfortable. Lots of lovely little touches to make it feel homely and welcoming. Comfortable beds so we all slept well. Plenty of off street parking and a pub across the road - what more do you need?

Well located for me, being a couple of minutes walk from the railway station and close to a supermarket and the town centre. The room was at the back of the house, no noise issues. Excellent value for a single visitor, and the host Sean was personable.

Spotlessly clean and in a good location in a lovely village. Comfortable beds and lots of room for everyone
Location in a quite village, with a lovely pub, The Bay Horse, across the road, reasonably priced & good food.
Beautifully renovated cottage, done to a high standard, with a lovely shower room & bath robes. Very clean & comfy.
The homemade shortbread biscuits were lovely, thank you.
Easy to find and ample parking outside.
Great central location for County Durham, & can recommend a trip to Locomotive, just a mile down the road.
Would stay here again without hesitation if we come up that way again.
The Full English Breakfast was excellent (Stornoway Black Pudding was the best black pudding I've ever tasted).
Tender beef baguettes with gravy for lunch were delicious (staff very helpful & accommodating....we checked in 5 minutes before kitchen stopped cooking). Nice ale from the bar too (we had Yorkshire Blonde).
The County is in a great location, overlooking a very picturesque village green. It was easy to find from main transport links, and our room was very comfortable and clean.
Extremely Clean Room ( number 5) And spacious, big bathroom, felt cosy and comfortable, Very peaceful area, good night's sleep!
Staff lovely, happy to help you, Made you feel welcome, Snacks in Afternoon were lovely, breakfast was cooked perfectly, nice small village if you just needed a relaxing day/ night Away 👍
Friendly welcome, quick and easy check in with the reception staff. Room was a good size twin with tv, kettle and tea/coffee/biscuits, hairdryer, iron and trouser press. The spa was great to relax and unwind after our journey. Restaurant and bar looked busy but we didn't use them, we walked to the nearest village pub for dinner and drinks (Heighington 1 mile away, footpath on country lanes, very quaint village and also has a spar for any provisions you might need).
Lovely village pub and accomodation. The rooms are next to the pub, really clean, very well maintained and very comfy bed. All staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast was absolutely delicious, and lots to choose from. . Would definitely stay again and highly recomend.
