A lovely place that is peaceful and great for walking. The facilities are excellent and the bath tub outside is such a great idea in any weather. Waking up in the morning having breakfast in the fresh countryside with the birds tweeting and just peace and quiet it's just perfect. I would definitely recommend this place especially if you like walks but if you don't and want to just relax and switch of from the busy world this place is for you. We will definitely be returning.

It felt as if we were in the middle of nowhere, but we were so close to where we needed to go. We loved soaking in the hot tub, enjoying the view. The placement of the cabins made it feel like we were the only ones there.

We had a fabulous time. It's ideally situated for walks, pubs, shops etc. Did the Offa Dyke trail up to Moel Arthur which is just down the road. Liz was a fabulous host and offered advice for walks that we didn't know about, therefore avoiding the much more popular (and busy) Moel Famau. The cottage was beautiful and the gardens well-kept. Hope to go again soon. Thank you!

Featuring quiet street views, A Cosy Cwtch retreat in the heart of the Clwydian Range offers accommodation with a garden and a patio, around 30 km from Chester Racecourse.
Exceptional. A converted post-office, with high beamed ceilings, and an attic bedroom. So beautifully decorated in a soothing palette of the colors of nature. Comfortable beds and luxurious linen bedding. A shower over the bath. The underpinning of technology (heated flooring, air-source heat pump inverter); Mørso woodburner, Wi-Fi and streaming for Netflix and TV; blue-ray disc player; induction hob, coffee machine, fridge, and Sonos sound bar. Handpainted wall mural - and a little sculpture reflecting the large natural ‘sculpture’ in the Chapel Gad garden opposite — an artistic sensibility. A wonderful stay for a family, or a couple.
Rhydymwyn (Malapit sa Nannerch)
Offering barbecue facilities and inner courtyard view, The Mill Nant Alyn is located in Rhydymwyn, 28 km from Chester Racecourse and 29 km from Bodelwyddan Castle.
Spotlessly clean, spacious, comfortable restored flour mill in an idyllic setting next to a stream in the Leete Valley. The conversion of this mill was of the highest standard and there was so much space-we loved the huge conservatory which had comfortable sofas for sitting and a full size kitchen, dining room and lounge meant lots of space to spread out. The host was excellent as he advised us about any events such as a road closures in town and made sure we were comfortable. Lots of things to see within a reasonable distance and the North Wales scenery was spectacular. Our favourites were Bodnant Garden which was a riot of colour with flowers and bluebells and Penrhyn Castle. Quiet and peaceful.
