Friendly and helpful communication from host. It was lovely, had a small private garden area for my dog which was very helpful, good kitchen facilities to be able to cook along with menu’s for local takeaways if you don’t fancy cooking. The bed is absolutely amazing to sleep on so comfy and easy to get a good night sleep and the lounge is lovely to chill out on and watch the tv. Close to a local co op and fish and chip shop and not much of a walk into town either. Great hosts and very helpful if you have any questions during your stay

Our second stay at Yew Tree View, great value for money, well equipped, clean, warm, easy check in (key safe). Although compact, the kitchen has a small fridge, a two plate hob and microwave, plus plenty of utensils, pans etc so self catering is perfectly feasible - we ate in 3 nights out of 4. Marnhull is a lovely village, and the food at the Crown is great. Lots of walks nearby, fields rather muddy at the moment but that's hardly surprising given the recent rain!

We are so pleased that we found this delightful B&B which was situated in a pretty village which boasts 2 pubs with Thomas Hardy connections. A very high standard of accommodation with a lovely garden. The hosts, Chris and Mella were helpful and informative about the area. We enjoyed the breakfasts too. They were leisurely and set us up for the day. We also felt that our dog was welcome and there are plenty of scenic walks nearby as well as a spacious paddock.

The location in a small village 3 miles north of Sturminster Newton was ideal for us. It's a pretty good base for exploring places like Stourhead although that wasn't our main aim. Guest accommodation is in a purpose-built extension. Rooms are spacious and and well-equipped. The hosts, a couple of older ladies, were chatty and friendly but of retirement years, so I guess the business will change hands sooner or later.
