The location was amazing, over looking the loch. The host had supplied fresh eggs from her hens, local cheese, oatcakes aswell as some local beer. Lots of information supplied in a book in the lodge along with maps. Fully stocked with everything you could need. The lodge was very clean. The sheep's, hens and other animals all come up to the lodge which we thoroughly enjoyed. A break away from internet and distractions was a dream.

Location is great right in the heart of Mallaig. The Inn seems to be one of the main social venues in the village and was full of locals and tourists which gave it a nice vibe. The dinner menu has a superb variety of dishes available at reasonable prices. My group of friends (18 of us) all enjoyed our evening meal and drinks there. Very handy location for a stop over if getting the ferry to or from Armadale on Skye. Breakfast was ok too.

Easily one of the most comfy and warm b&b I've been to. The host Sharon is absolutely wonderful and so is everybody in this cosy village. I was solo traveling and I got so much help and information from the locals and Sharon that it really made my trip! Also the location is perfect everything you need is in walking distance.

We stayed one night in Mallaig before going to Isle of Skye. We found Mallaig to be a picturesque, small fishing village and we're happy we stayed the night. The Chlachain Inn is centrally located being just a 5 minute walk to both the ferry terminal and train station and that suited us well. The room was good but to be honest the wow factor for us was the food in the Inn. I had the Haddock (i.e. Fish and Chips) and, for me, was the best I had in Scotland. Breakfast was also very good.
