The room was beautifully clean, modern in conveniences but still managed to retain a cosy intimate feeling. Also the shower was incredible. Nice to be offered a fan even though it wasn't needed on this occasion. Breakfast was delicious, hot and made from good quality fresh ingredients.

I really like the location of the pub hotel it was in a small village just on the village Green I felt like I had gone back in time

The estate was very picturesque with lots of animals and the river lea goes through it. Just very quiet and idyllic. The host is very friendly, helping and very dog friendly aswell. The area has a lot to offer and the trail along the river will be something to explore on our next visit. Very lovely villages nearby like harpenden and st. Albans. The breakfast was great too. Even fresh fruits which you do not get everywhere. There is also a bus stop directly in front of the entrance. I will definitely stay again.

Upstairs hallway & door to our bedroom quirky & uneven but that was part of the charm of the place.

Handy for a cheap one night stay near Luton airport, it is not in Luton, but near enough. You have to factor in about 15 min taxi drive . Comfy beds. Helpful staff who helped book our taxi for early flight. Nice English pub atmosphere in pub downstairs, nice historical building, food looked good (although we didn't eat) and it had a lovely village feel. Very popular with locals.
Idyllic location situated near fields and the village green. We only had a short stay as we were using it as an overnight stop while we collected someone from Luton airport. It was full of character and while the rooms were small, it was enough space for a short stay.
