We were warmly welcomed by Heidi and shown to the delightful Peacock room. A lovely modern, spacious, beautifuly decorated room. With a large spotless en suite shower.
Heidi familiarised us with all the details that would make our stay comfortable.
We met (Chef)Paul at breakfast the next morning. Another warm friendly greeting. The breakfast is freshly cooked with a lots of tasty choices.
Especially the pancakes.
Heidi and Paul are excellent hosts for their lovely bed and breakfast. Every thing has been thought of.
We had a fun friendly five day stay. We hope to return.

Clean & tidy, comfortable beds, and all that was required. Great location on a less busy lane way, with shops and Cathedral within walking distance.
Nice pub with good food in the center of a small village. The pub is great with a nice atmosphere and good food. I would definitely recommend to have dinner here! Staff is very friendly and welcoming.
A fabulous place to stay in a very lovely village - close to Canterbury and in the lovely Kent countryside. The dinner was really great and breakfast was very well done. Oh and some excellent beers on draught ! The staff were super friendly and we’d love to stay again soon.
Everything! This is your quintessential pub stay in the garden of England. The quaintest little village.
The pub is amazing, the food was incredible, we had dinner and breakfast. The people were so welcoming and friendly. The rooms are modern and decor lovely and the Chocolate Port in your room is a special touch. There’s nothing we didn’t like about the Duke William and we will be back.
We stayed at the Duke William for the second time and were welcomed like old friends. Team, rooms, pub and location are all outstanding.
Ickham is a lovely village and the perfect starting point for excursions towards the coast or Canterbury. The team is very kind and happy to accommodate special dietary needs (gluten-free diet). There's nothing better than coming back to the lively pub for dinner after a day out discovering Kent and the beautiful rooms feel like home.
We will be back for sure - the sooner the better!
Beautifully renovated luxury pub tucked away in a small, fairytale village. The rooms are refined, everything shows attention to detail. The bar and restaurant are cosy and quaint. The pub is the centre for the villagers who meet here every afternoon. There is a garden and a conservatory. The food is of excellent quality. One of the best steaks I've ever had in the UK. But as you can imagine, it all comes with a price.
Very friendly, helpful staff in a lovely village pub/restaurant. Comfy beds, good sized shower room and nice extras like coffee machine and bottled water. Great breakfast included and good choices in the restaurant in the evening. Big garden and covered outside area too.
15 minute drive to park and ride into Canterbury
