The room we had was lovely, great bath. The teas, coffee choices were basic, but sufficient. I found the reception frankly awkward. We asked for some crockery to eat for dinner, the area isn’t easy to get that and we brought food from a local supermarket. It seemed chastising to say it wasn’t a self catering location then give plates etc. Going for breakfast 10 minutes early the next day-am not generally a fan of being asked what I want for breakfast and when when I check in somewhere. Again, to be chastised about arriving early? We arrived after a very tiring week. It felt like an inconvenience to ask for some things. The room we had was really nice. So this is worth a stay.

James and Emily were wonderful hosts, super helpful with recommendations for local restaurants and even giving us a lift there themselves! Bar was nice, malt by the fire and breakfast was very good
