Located in the small village of South Warnborough and just 15 minutes from the home of Jane Austen, is The Poacher Inn. Free Wi-Fi is available and a large garden with a children’s play area features at this hotel.

I like everything about The Poacher, but especially the people who worked there, and particularly the managers: Jayne and Jon. Terrific people who went out of their way to make my stay an enjoyable one. I stayed in four other inns during this trip, and my stay at The Poacher was, by far, the nicest.

This romantic country house with stunning gardens has a health spa, swimming pools and a tennis court. Set in 66 acres of glorious parklands, it is just 5 minutes from the M3 and has a 2 AA Rosette restaurant.

Very nice and classy place in the middle of the countryside. The room was gigantic. It easily contained the two queen beds and the space of a living room. Room and Hotel were very clean. The included breakfast was very good and had a wide selection. Food quality at lunches and dinner were also very good, but a bit pricey. The place is wonderful if you're looking for a relaxing stay. It has a lot of amenities and walkable areas around the building. Very immersive. We went there for an emergency stay in UK (missed flight connection, with a 11months old) and everyone around was very understanding of the situation and tried to help as much as they could.

I liked the friendliness of the guy that was working there when I checked in. He carried my bags all the way to my room. He showed me a couple of the nice in the house. And the bed that I slept in was very comfortable! It was very soft like a cloud and the pillow was nice and the blanket was nice and I slept so well. Clean. They were cookies there for me to eat. All together just a lovely stay. And the building was gorgeous.

A nicely decorated room in a pleasant pub. The bed was comfortable. The shower was hot. We had dinner in the pub - good pub food reasonably priced. Although the pub only does cooked breakfast at the weekend they supplied a ‘brunch bag’ with croissants, jam and fruit. There was also information about the village shop where you could get a cooked breakfast. The village shop/cafe was worth the short walk for breakfast.

I didn't have breakfast. Location was perfect for my friend's 60th party in a nearby village. The staff member who came to reception was friendly. Plenty of very hot water in the bathroom.

A lovely pub in a small village 5 miles from Alton town centre in Hampshire. We wanted a place to stay while we visited my son and his girlfriend. We had my parents with us too, and the six of us had dinner and breakfast at the pub. The rooms were cosy and clean, the food was excellent and the service very friendly and welcoming. We will definitely stay here again. We chatted with the chef, who clearly takes great pride in what he does and the food was outstanding. Highly recommend.

Garden and master suite and spacious living areas downstairs. Owner/host was a great communicator and clearly wanted to make everything as good as it could be. It is clearly someone's home and I respect and like that - absolutely NOT a soulless clone-like holiday home.

The house is simply stunning. We were very pleasantly surprised to find that this beautiful house was even better than it looks in the pictures. Set in the middle of a delightful little village it really is perfect. The owners have gone to great lengths to provide everything needed for a fantastic stay. The attention to detail makes this house so special.

Beautiful cottage, thoughtfully, tastefully and creatively decorated. Homely, cosy and spacious. Warm, bright. Loved the views into the lovely courtyard through large glass patio doors and stable doors. All amenities worked well, comfy beds, good plumbing, good lighting, super clean. Felt like well designed home from home. Maria was a wonderful host: responsive, organised, professional. Loved her folder with useful local information. Located in quiet village with an easy walk to a peaceful path running along Basingstoke Canal.

Visiting family who live in the village, this property was ideal for us. Tucked away in a secluded location at the heart of Odiham, it offered easy access to all of the local amenities. The Loft was spacious and tastefully furnished with a very comfortable bed, excellent bathroom and well equipped kitchen. Nice little touches on arrival made us feel particularly welcome. Rachel was an extremely helpful host and was able to answer all of our questions quickly. We hope to stay at The Loft next time we travel down to Odiham.

Lovely apartment tucked just off the high street in the lovely village of Odiham, where there were several cafes, bars and restaurants to choose from, just seconds from the front door, if you don't want to cook. Apartment is delightful, and communication with owner Rachel regarding how to get access on our arrival was great.
