I don’t even know where to begin. Lizi and her family were the most wonderful hosts. So warm and friendly and responsive to our questions. She told me all the best places to go for antique shopping and hiking to the channel. And the cottage was newly renovated and exquisite in every detail. From the large, newly built wardrobe to the medallions and light fixtures on the ceilings to the beautiful lighting in the kitchen. Even the path to the hot tub was magical. Lizi even had homemade bread and eggs and milk for us. We will never forget you. You made so many memories for us in 48 short hours. Come to Texas and I’ll roll out the red carpet for YOU next time. Lovely cosy cottage with beautiful attention to detail and lots of added extras to make our stay even more enjoyable. The upstairs double bed was super comfortable. The kitchen was beautiful and well equipped. There were toys and books for the children. We weren't expecting the large garden! It was amazing. No shortage of anything. Querky house with large bedrooms, all having solid reclaimed interesting wood furniture and ample storage. Books, DVDs, Maps and brochures aplenty. An ideal centre for the friends and family staying following my son's wedding. Places within the house to be private or the huge lounge area for companiable TV or chat. Also a fabulously appointed kitchen. The garden was truly a gem. Wildlife prolific. Utterly restful place. Lots of sitting areas, barbeque and pizza oven. The village has a great pub and vineyard, where the food is delicious.. Grocery shops unobtrusively nearby and an amazing farm fresh meat/organic food shop just up the road. A garden centre where the staff were so helpful and the tartare sauce is the best I've ever tasted. An oasis of peace to recharge
