The location was excellent - close to Alton Towers, easy to park and a convenient pub over the road where we had our evening meal. Communication with Abbey was very good, and she gave us a warm welcome when we arrived at the property. The room was very clean and comfortable; and we appreciated being able to chose between twin and double bed set up.

Squirrel Barn is a fun and eccentric place which genuinely caters to the whole family (and more!). It is a beautiful old building filled with anything and everything you could think of, with wonderful little touches and a really warm feeling. We were in the area to visit Alton Towers and to be honest we had just as much fun at Squirrel Barn! The owners are fantastic - friendly, accommodating and excellent at contact. The two ladies front of house were just superb. I travel solo a lot for work and despite doing it for a number of years now, i still get a bit apprehensive being so far away from home on my own. The moment i arrived i just felt at home with no anxiety the ladies were just so kind and friendly. Would definitely stay here again if im ever in that neck of the woods.
