Beautiful, unique hotel in lovely surroundings. Serious attention to detail on the refurbishment of the Pullman train carriages. Dinner was also delicious. Friendly and helpful staff. I loved the atmosphere in the dining room. Breakfast was also very hearty. Definitely recommend to those looking for an unusual hotel experience.

The staff were so welcoming! The pub is set in a beautiful little village, with amazing surrounding views. We were due to be attending a wedding reception and they even offered to give us a lift down to the venue when our lift looked like it had let us down, above and beyond! Thank you guys, we will be back! Amazing breakfast too!

Star and Garter is an excellent pub with rooms in a small village. The village is very smart and the pub doesnt let that down. The garden is excellent, rooms comfortable and the breakfast is superb also. The owner (Jim) is very hospitable and helpful with lots of useful tips about the area and what to see.
