Lovely B&B, beautifully decorated, good-sized rooms with en-suite. The breakfast was great (although served from 8 am onward), and the staff friendly and helpful. It is not a hotel, so the rooms are not cleaned during your stay (I stayed 4 nights). The location is great, within walking distance from the station and the city centre.

Welcome pack was very thoughtful, and made our breakfasts & stay much simpler. Well equipped rooms, great bedding, lovely aspect and excellent location - perched in a hamlet high in the hills overlooking Durham Cathedral, close to a village pub serving good food, but a quick and easy drive in to town.
Wonderful holiday home ,beautiful and peaceful area surrounded by gardens approx 5 mins to the city centre so the best of both worlds. Aesthetics were very pleasing and it was well kitted out. Now includes Tv in the living room in addition to the one in the kitchen area. Beds and settee were very comfortable.
Hosts were friendly warm and accommodating and glad to have met them .I would have no hesitation returning here again for another stay in the future .Thank you to the hosts

The site was small, tidy and fairly quiet. Holiday home was clean and cared for, large tv, cooker and microwave. Beds were comfy. Essentials of tea, coffee,bread, milk and eggs were provided which were welcome as no shops on site or nearby..
Lovely walk down Shotton bank (left out of main gate) and through tunnel to Castle Eden Dene nature reserve where we saw a variety of wild flowers and some deer.
