The Shepherds Hut was set in a tranquil location with great views all around.! It was so peaceful, chilling in the hot tub at night and just what we needed.! Jacqui and Dave were fantastic and couldn’t do any more for our stay.!! 5star treatment, we will be back.! xx

Beautiful cottage, very clean and cozy, decorated to a high standard. Location was perfect for us and the views were amazing. The beds were so comfortable perfect place to relax and unwind with plenty to do in surrounding areas if you wish. Host was amazing and we really appreciated the welcome gift.

This was my second stay at woodland house hotel. Last was with my wife and this time a golf trip with the boys. It was my responsibility to choose the hotel and had no hesitation in choosing this place. We were not disappointed. The staff food rooms atmosphere were all outstanding. I’ll be back again soon. There was off street parking available. While Dumfries Villa is an old building - the room was clean and comfortable. The location was good - to where we could walk to a good pub for dinner. The breakfast was freshly cooked and lovely. The staff were helpful & polite. So overall a good experience.
What a fabulous stay in a beautiful Victorian villa. Every single aspect exceeded my expectations. Like staying in a boutique hotel. I've never rated anywhere 10/10 in my life. Thank you Karen and David, a wonderful start to my holiday!

The place was spotless and the views were absolutely stunning! In a quiet village location, the house was perfect. There were plenty of breakfast options available which made tough choices what to eat! The hosts were absolutely lovely.
We stayed in the one bedroom house - just like a holiday home and perfect with our dog. This was our second stay in two weeks. Beautiful environment, calm and restful, with river walks and lovey grounds. You can eat in, or cook for yourself in this house.

Colin was a lovely host, very welcoming and friendly. The villa was in a great location, close to the town centre, but in a quiet area. Room was spacious and clean and the breakfast in the morning was delicious.
I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at the Dumfries villa. The bed was very comfy, the breakfast was lovely, and the location is great (situated near the train station - but can’t hear the trains, and a 5min walk away from town centre).
The property was fully equipped for being a self contained holiday home from home.it definitely had a WOW factor .
Full fitted kitchen and even a utility room.
And dog friendly for a well behaved dog.😄
The bedroom very spacious and the beds/bedding soooooo comfortable.
