Really friendly welcome. The owner gave good information about local eateries. Lots of options for breakfast which was delicious and ideally located in the centre of the town. Communal area with fire to sit if you wanted to. The information and room description was clear at the time of booking. We were walking the Pennine Way and the room was just what we needed.

The place was equipped with more than normal self catering places. The place is situated in the most beautiful setting and the hot tub was just amazing with those views.
Great friendly staff. Quiet location and a comfortable room. Perfect base for exploring the stunning countryside and historical towns, castles museums etc all easily reached. There's even a ruined castle on your doorstep. The Irish band on Fridsy night in the bar were a fantastic treat. We were made to feel like part of the village community.
Absolutely wonderful building in a stuning village, and all in a great location. The food was great and they worked around my partners allergies. The staff were always helpful and smiling. Everything was what I want from a hotel.
Very friendly, clean comfortable room, beautiful views, rural setting but in easy reach of the many attractions the area had to offer. Over the fell(s) a slightly longer drive to a completely different part of the word, lots of small villages and offering wonderful valley walking along the river.
