I had passed though Avoch (pronounced "Auch") a few times before, not realising what a hidden gem is it is. The property is literally a minute's walk from the shore, and 4 minute's walk from the harbour. Packed with quaint tiny fishermens' cottages in narrow streets, but amenities all nearby. Nobody walks by with saying hello! Everybody very friendly.
Lots of places to visit nearby. I love Rosemarkie with its beautiful beach, shielded from the wind. Cromarty is well worth a visit, especially the museum.
I even went in swimming a few minute's drive away, in Fortrose! (Yes, at the end of October - The Moray Firth has its owm micro-climate!)

Handy location for being in Inverness and accessing the surrounding areas. The property was ok, bed very comfortable and plenty of hot water in the shower. A few small issues that if fixed would make it a good property to stay in.

Next to a pub/hotel. Good for evening meal and drink. Motorcycles were parked directly outside the flat. 2 bedrooms with wardrobes. Very useful kitchen and lounge. I’d certainly use the flat again when in the area. Enough cups, plates and cutlery for our needs. Towels provided too.

The location was within walking distance of the station and main shopping area.
Great location, right on the waterfront. Fantastic views. Good location for travelling around Black Isle and Inverness area. Really liked Avoch as a village - interesting place to walk around and good facilities close by. Host provided plenty of information although it took us a little while to work out the TV.
Beautiful, super comfortable, super clean room in such a lovely village. Just metres away from a really great big beach and lots of nice walks nearby. Could not recommend more!
It was a nice room with attached shower. There were also cooking facilities including a microwave and electric kettle. Situated in the middle of the village and with a store and take away nearby it was ideally situated.
Rachael is a great host! She's very nice and very accommodating for arrival and departure.
The room is cozy, there was fresh flowers 🌺. It's convenient, there is a microwave, plates, forks, a few snacks, tea and coffee. The bed is very comfy. It was really clean!!
The village is small but cute. There is a beach close by where you can see dolphins!
