A beautiful location, lovely accommodation, brilliant facilities and lots to see and do in the area for all ages. It really was home from home. The pub over the road had nice food, although some of the menu we thought was on the expensive side , especially for the children. Spent an enjoyable day at the farm park, wandered in Matlock bath, saw lots of lovely little villages.
Really great property. Nice and clean on arrival with heating turned on. Full kitchen with utensils was excellent when preparing dinner. Nice and modern interior with enough space for 4 people on a 1-night short stay. Excellent distance from Alton Towers Resort, and a short walk into the lovely village of Ashbourne. Lovely and informative host, didn't meet in person but responsive to messages and polite.
The property was absolutely stunning! lovely decor, so comfortable and the bathroom was gorgeous. the courtyard garden was the perfect place to sit and enjoy the morning and evening sunshine. It was one of the first holiday homes we have stayed in that had a brilliantly stocked kitchen with the utensils and equipment to enable us to cook a meal. We loved being able to walk into town to explore the quirky shops and restaurants. The lovely host Claire was attentive and we felt really looked after.
