Can't say enough good things about La Fredie. We booked this last minute because of the location, which is close to some great cycling routes. What a surprise! The owners went above and beyond to make us feel at home. So much so that we didn't want to leave. You really feel like you're part of their family as this is where they live as well. Rooms are spacious with clean and modern bathrooms, lovely garden and delicious breakfast. Will go back to this region just to stay at La Fredie again.

A very welcoming hostess. The suite was in a house in a very quiet street and was well-appointed. Everything clearly brand new. Breakfast (‘continental’) was generous and, rare thing, the coffee was good. My wife knows always to have UK tea bags in the luggage. A very good overnight/two night stop option in the heart of the Loire Valley region. We appreciated the addition of an aircon unit in view of the exceptionally high nighttime temperatures.

We had a great stay and the place was very nice and comfortable. It was very well equipped and very clean. The host was very nice and helpful. The only issue we had was that we arrived late at night and the address was not easy to find and nobody answered our messages, so we had to stay somewhere else. We recommend getting detailed instructions to locate the place.

Lovely location as a base for the Val de Loire. Nice little town with very friendly locals (if you at least try to speak in French with them). Great for cycling the Cher river route (which we did to Chenonceau) on lovely cycle lanes, easily manageable by children (our 5 year old did it!). House is surprisingly spacious. Two toilets, a real plus for a family. Overall it was very well equipped for a family. We (parents) had the attic room which was very spacious.
