We picked Galan and this property as we were looking for an overnight stop on the V81 cycle route. Galan is a very pleasant small village on the ridge and the property is a beautiful and historic building with very friendly hosts. They provided a nice dinner by request as nothing was open on the Tuesday night we stayed. They also stored our bicycles safely and allowed us to check in a bit early after a slightly rainy ride. It had a very family and laid back feel we liked. And a very comfortable and spacious room with heated towel rack in to dry our cycle clothes.

Maison de Haouret exceeded all expectations. The property is spacious and very tastefully decorated. Our rooms were a really good size, with comfy beds and en suites. Beautifully situated in a small village on a ridge with wonderful gardens and views of the Pyrenees. The gite is equipped with absolutely everything that you could think of to help make your stay perfect. All the rooms are quite spacious and the two bedrooms both are en suite. It’s a very tranquil and calm place to stay. Heather (the gite owner) lives on-site but totally respects your privacy. Should you have any questions about the gite or local attractions etc, then you only have to ask, and she will go out of her way to kindly help answer your questions.
