The tapas in the bar on the second night was excellent. The staff were very friendly. Yegen is a pleasant village with a literary history The main road running past the accommodation was extremely quiet. The views across the valley are good.

We had the most magical stay at Las Chimeneas. David and everyone from the staff was super welcoming and made us feel right at home the second we stepped foot in their gorgeous hotel. I wish we could have stayed a little longer to enjoy the peace and beauty of the surrounding mountains. Special mention for the delicious food as well.

The hotel is run by a lovely couple. They cooked a wonderful evening meal for us.
The hotel is down a short steep road in a village high up in the mountains.
Lovely apartment & amazing views. Great terrace for drinks (muchos tapas). Good local red wine. Food portions here are enormous so maybe best to share mains.

Village is very rural - small shop yet well stocked - good pizza place in village.
We were well looked after by our host Lorena and it was interesting to stay in one of the Alpujarra villages which still feel removed from the hustle and bustle of modern life. The room was a little basic but warm enough and there was plenty of hot water. We had two good suppers and a nice breakfast the morning we left.
