Our hostess, Monse, was delightful, ready with responses to all our questions, running the gamut from restaurants, tours and local events, all the while taking time for everyone. She managed to accommodate our late arrival and dealing with transportation problems that arose when our train tickets to Barcelona were cancelled at the last moment. Monse and the other staff addressed our needs from adaptors for our phone chargers and electronics, to laundry needs. In addition to seeing to our practical needs and comfort, she encouraged our efforts to communicate in Spanish, and made us feel really at home, taking time to engage in conversation with fascinating insights, humor and compassion.
