Wonderful stay on Elephantine Island. At first, when I booked, I thought it would be difficult to find, on the west side of the island. But it's so small, and everyone is friendly and helpful, it took only a few minutes from the ferry. There's also a dock 100 meters away, if you want to hire your own boat. Qasem is a great host, always available when needed. There's a kitchen, washing machine (which others mentioned), and a decent grocery store nearby. If you're worried about getting to the Abu Simbel transport before the ferry starts, the organizers offer boats. In short, great value.
