After a long drive staying at this pension in rural Germany is well worth the short detour from the motorway. The location is quiet and exactly what is required for a good night's sleep. The room was clean, the bed comfortable and the breakfast next morning ( 10 euro per person) excellent. It set us up for another long day on the road. We were there in November and not in tourist mode but I expect at other times of year this would be a good base to explore the region.

Even if we arrived after 10 PM the owner presented us the house. We have found caffe, tea, water and other beverages on the fridge and cookies on the kitchen table. Our request to open the heating and found a warm room was promptly fulfilled. 9-12 minutes to Duderstadt by car. We will turn back for sure.

The charming character of the house and the thoughtful finishing touches by the host! It was extremely cozy and comfortable. We loved our stay; Brigitte was a lovely host who greeted us upon arrival and ensured we were settled when we arrived. The back bedroom had a beautiful view with ample sunlight. We had fantastic weather when we visited Duderstadt, and the little outdoor sitting area was great for chilling and reading in the afternoons.

Perfect little stay. Picture doesn’t do it justice, bed is very comfortable and plenty big enough for 2 people. Perfect location. Lovely new bathroom and best shower we’ve had for a long time :)
