Captain Sven runs a tight ship. The boat was spotlessly clean throughout, cabins are a generous size, breakfast was fantastic. Lovely to be so close to the water - you can lean out of a porthole and talk to the passing ducks. And the location is perfect: quiet neighbourhood but just a short walk from the historic centre.
Great location with the subterranean parking lot in the street. The apartment is great and furnitures are new and comfortable. The terrace offers a nice view on the boat harbour. Supermarket at 10min walking and city centre at 5 min. Already our 3rd time in this Appartement and since then always our first choice.
Staying on a boat made for a unique experience. I particularly liked how the ducks came over to say hello every morning when I opened the port holes. Excellent location in a cool neighborhood, close to the centre.
The hotel has fantastic decor - it is not of modern style, but it has character which is what we like from a city break hotel. Dumon chocolates upon arrival and a free drink each was appreciated. The continental breakfast was lovely and there were lots of pastry options. The local canal boat trip was right outside the back of the hotel, which was really handy. The overall location was absolutely perfect. Staff are really polite and helpful. Everywhere smelled fantastic and was really clean.
The concept of staying on a boat is what makes this hotel different- waking up to seeing ducks swimming past your window was lovely. The location is ok- a 10 minute walk from the train station and the city (in either direction). Breakfast was ok- basic continental, but eggs cooked to order. The Captain was friendly & very passionate about his boat hotel… which is a great experience if you’re staying in Ghent for a night!
We enjoyed our quirky stay in the houseboat - something different for us as a family :) The hosts were very friendly and helpful. The sauna was a hit! Location-wise it was good - only a 20min walk into centre of Bruges.
It's quite an experience to sleep on one of the oldest houseboats of Brussels. The owner is very helpful; the space available is huge and a lot of comics, books, musical instruments, DVDs etc. are there, too.
