Best part for us is the location. Walkable to the lake and all the main attractions. Didn't have to spend on any cabs and easy to walk around. Host is awesome. She made sure we were comfortable and took great care. Of course the cold water upon returning which is a blessing. Before arriving I enquired if baby cereal is available in Hà Nội, host arranged for us and was in our rrom by the time we reached. Breakfast was delicious, we had heavy breakfast everyday. We travelled with an infant and another young child and we didn't face any problems.

We were able to rent bikes (free) and scooters from him also which was very handy. The location was great, on a quiet road but close to everything. Rooms were nice and clean, and the little balcony was lovely to sit out on. There's also a cute little dog who's very calm but will happily take a pet. Would highly recommend staying here :)

The location was excellent, only 10 min walk to the centre and it was nice to have the pool to refresh in and escape the heat. Lucky was very helpful and assisted us in booking the night train to Hue.

At Chamisland Hanhly homestay, the family-friendly restaurant is open for dinner, lunch and brunch and serves seafood cuisine. Ly and her lovely family are running this Homestay very well. We felt comfortable and welcome and enjoyed our stay a lot and even extended our stay from one night to two nights which I would recommend as a minimum to enjoy the spirit of the island. Ly has helped us a lot with travel arrangements (rebooking boat tickets and moto taxi ride back to pier by her husband) and arranged for a snorkeling trip with her uncle fisherman on a bamboo boat to a place with lots of corral. With my son we also enjoyed night fishing the traditional way from bamboo boat for which Ly's husband has taken us. Also the food and drinks were excellent here and very reasonable prices. We had a grilled fish (which was caught by her husband) and it was just great. The location is a small fisherman village some 5 km from the pier / center which we wanted and enjoyed a lot for quite spirit. Easy to explore the island and other beaches on a motorbike which we rented on the pier upon arrival. Recommend to bring some shoes for swimming and own snorkeling equipment to use on the beach in front of the homestay.
