São Jorge
Overlooking the Atlantic Ocean, Casa das Proteas is located in Sítio da Felpa, S. Jorge, Madeira Island. It offers an outdoor swimming pool surrounded by lush vegetation about 50 km from Funchal.
All Proteas’ rooms are heated and have a private bathroom. Some rooms have a kitchenette and sea views, while others have wooden sloped ceilings.
Breakfasts were great also the view and the peaceful area.
The staff were very friendly and Teresa (the owner) is a very professional and kind person.

The place was wonderful, very old renovated building. The view is stunning. The breakfast was delicious and well served with many fresh fruits and variety of cheese. The garden was with pool. The room was very comfy and clean. Self check in was possible. The staff was very kind.
Santa Maria, Funchal

Hostess was friendly & provided a variety of activities & restaurants in Funchal. Her suite was very clean & comfortable, beautiful bed linens/pillows along with a microwave& coffee maker. Alexia room was a perfect for a short stay & the neighbourhood was easy to navigate once you got used to the hills of Funchal. Great place for solo travellers.
Estreito de Câmara de Lobos
At the bed and breakfast, every unit has a wardrobe, a flat-screen TV, a private bathroom, bed linen and towels. There is also a well-fitted kitchenette in some of the units equipped with a microwave, a toaster, and a fridge. Vila Afonso is a hidden gem - it was our little slice of paradise! The view and property itself are just out of this world, the property grounds are so beautifully maintained that it's wonderful to just lounge about in the garden all day. The owner was most helpful and kind, making sure that everything was in order, and he even provided us with lactose free milk for breakfast upon request!
Arco da Calheta
Sunset House in Arco da Calheta provides adults-only accommodation with a garden, a terrace and barbecue facilities. Featuring mountain and garden views, this guest house also provides guests with free WiFi. The accommodation offers a shared kitchen and a housekeeping service for guests. Everything was very clean and the owners were so nice. The kitchen was a great place for cooking with all the utilities and even provided some fresh food everyday. We had a really great experience staying here.
Arco da Calheta

At the guest house, every unit includes bed linen and towels. The owner was very nice and friendly. The view was stunning. I definitely recommend it.

Catia met us and helped with parking, showed the house and made us feel as at home. The house has a charming garden with great view and places for the rest and breakfast, everything was fresh and clean and made for your comfortable staying. Catia is great host and her house is the place where you want to return as soon as possible.

With a private bathroom fitted with a walk-in shower and a hair dryer, units at the guest house also have free WiFi. All units will provide guests with air conditioning, a safety deposit box and a flat-screen TV. Honestly at first, I was a bit taken aback that there is no staff on site and that it was more of a house/Airbnb type than a hotel. However, it turned out to be AMAZING. I made this purchase DAY OF because of a very stressful last minute change to my trip, and this place was just what I needed to unwind and relax. Everything was super clean, and safe, and the facilities were just wonderful. I also talked with the cleaning lady the next day and she was super sweet. There were mango trees dropping fruit on the property, and all in all it was just magical. Free protected parking and everything. I felt completely safe there. There’s also a grocery store like a 5 min walk away if you want to go pick things up to cook (as well as many eateries).

Spacious, clean apartment with a large terrace. Well furnished and equipped with anything you may need for a short or long stay. Centrally located, across the street from a food market, with bakery, restaurants, cafes and shops (including a supermarket) in close vicinity. Within a short walk to the beach/promenade. Despite the central/busy location it was not noisy (other than the usual daytime hustle and bustle) and felt safe both during the day and in the evenings/at night. Highly recommended.

Very friendly, thorough and clear communication from the host. Spacious apartment. Private garage with your own key or public street for parking. Kitchen with all the necessary equipment. Quiet location next to a small road with almost no cars passing by. Two radiators were available for heating, but we didn't use them due to warm weather. The host left us some fresh fruit and a bottle of water and wine as a welcoming gift :)
Great location,a five minute stroll to restaurants, etc. We stayed in flat 19 and it's very quiet for sleeping and private. Helpful staff and always reply promptly to questions Good washing machine facilities.
The staff and their service were really nice. They really tried to please us and always greeted us with a smile. The location was perfect, very close to the city center and the beach whilst being quiet and reserved. The bedroom is really simple, so don't expect luxury (but the price is really adjusted). The breakfast is good: a lot of fresh fruit, different types of bread and so on. Also, a good positive point was the rooftop and the swimming pool on there.
Truly luxury hotel atmosphere. Inpeccable service Good location, 10min walk to city center (uphill on return walk). Ocean view room had all the aneminities one could expect. Excellent breakfast, lots of tables inside and outside. Pool area and the surroundings perfectly maintained. Sun loungers always available

It is stylish, beautiful, newly furnished, romantic boutique apartment. I felt very comfortable in it. The apartment is in the center of Funchal, few meters from most beautiful park Jardim Municipal, where I drank morning coffee. Although the apartment is in the city center, it was very quiet place. The apartment looks better in reality than in photos.
Beautiful beach right in front of the hotel, the area is quiet and the view on the fourth floor is interesting from the balcony. the free private car park under the hotel is really very useful and very practical (you can go from the car park to your room by an elevator) it is a luxury in Ponta do sol (like everywhere on the island!) to be able to park near of his accommodation!
The whole experience at Quinta da Casa Branca was amazing The property and the setting of the beautiful gardens made us feel so lucky we chose this hotel all the staff are friendly and really helpful it’s a small boutique hotel in a great location with 15-20 minutes to the city centre but an oasis from most of the big hotel chains we came back totally relaxed Can’t recommend enough

Great location and great facilities. We really liked the room: spacious and practical with a small kitchen. The breakfast was amazing: lots of choice and fresh fruit. The staff was very helpful. We especially liked the fact that the hotel is located in a quiet street (so no noise at night) but was still very close (20 min walking) to the city center.
