good location in quiet neighborhood, walking distance from the city center. Excellent breakfast, friendly staff, very nice swimming pool big enough for actual swimming, sauna, some nice restaurants in the neighborhood as well (would recommend Pomme Eatery !!). We stayed at the standard room which was big enough, lot's of space to put everything aside. Would recommend this hotel!!
What a lovely surprise! Janelas Verdes is a slightly old-fashioned but very charming small boutique hotel. The service was great, and the hotel felt like a luxury home. The courtyard is picturesque, and we loved the honesty bar system and availability of coffee in various places. The rooftop veranda and library are gorgeous areas too. Wonderful breakfast selection too. Secure underground parking is limited, but available and comes at a charge.
Great location, about 10 - 15 minutes from the city center, near the tram, bus, metro, train stations. Our room was small, but comfortable with a private bathroom. If you are a tourist like we are, you won't need anything more than a good bed and a shower after a long walk through Lisbon.
The hotel is in a great location in the heart of the city within easy walking distance of the main squares, restaurants and shops. The staff were friendly and helpful and provided an efficient service. Our room was a good size with long windows that opened onto a quiet side street with a view of the local square, it was clean and had a modern bathroom with all the toiletries you might need, plus bathrobes, slippers and a hairdryer. The breakfasts were a generous buffet with a wide choice of dishes, including fresh fruit and pastel de nata.
Very friendly and helpful staff. Good value for money, we booked a private suite, even though the property functions as a hostel too. It was quiet, tidy, and the location is top tier. Not really in the city center but a 10min walk downhill to all the sightseeing monuments. The tram 24 (if i’m not mistaken) stops right in front of the hotel!
Ideal if you want a central, cheap, private room. It was very clean and staff were very nice and polite. It has a basic kitchen with tea, etc. Close to metro stations, food options and city centre. It was perfect for what I needed. My score would be higher if there were no renovations happening.

I stayed in the single room, I just needed a place to sleep for the night and this place was just perfect. Close to the airport and at a very cheap price compared to other rooms around. The red line is only 5 minutes away and you can get to the city centre quickly. The neighbourhood was quiet too. I would definitely recommend it if you are staying for one or two nights and are looking for a cheap but nice place to stay.
The room was exactly as shown in the pictures, recently refurbished, spacious, bright and very clean. Great location, close to the city center, metro and railway stations, but on a quiet street that felt very safe also at night.
Nicely appointed rooms. Quiet location. Friendly, keen to please young staff. Small sized hotel. Tram 28 stop close by to take you into city centre. Excellent private transfer services. Good choice at breakfast. Quaint craft shops and local restaurants nearby. Average taxi/Uber price into Bairro Alto or Chiado around €6. Overall a pleasant stay.
