All rooms have air conditioning and ceiling fans, while most include a flat-screen satellite TV, fridge and french doors opening to the front or rear terrace. Three rooms have private en-suite washrooms, while the remaining 2 rooms use the property's shared washroom.
This place was fantastic. The woman running it (Nicola) was so friendly & welcoming—she helped us set up a snorkeling trip and even took me to the local clinic when I got a bunch of sand in my eye and had to have it cleaned out (which was free!).
The room was great-private patio, fridge & big bathroom with a huge shower that was always hot. Fresh breakfast every day (coffee, amazing fruit salad, toast & egg dish).
We were there for the annual skydiving event & had friends staying other places—it sounds like we definitely had the best hotel experience.

Great location, one of the best beaches on Contadora
The room was spacious, with effective airco, and the bed was comfortable. The bathroom was clean and functional. The neighbourhood is quiet and safe. The hosts were very welcoming and helpful. Breakfast was nice.
The host was extremely kind and helpful, she took care of all detailed and prepared a good breakfast for us. The location is very good and quiet.

The Coordinator Nicola is very friendly and always there when you have a question. She cares well of her guests and prepares excellent breakfast.
Great hosts! Bryan and Cristina were full of helpful information and incredibly nice, pleasant people. We traveled midweek and during the rainy season...the tranquility and lack of crowds was perfect for a relaxing retreat. The beach right next to the hotel was empty and picturesque, except for the plastic trash that washed ashore! Stop being so lazy and gross, humans!! :))
Mar y Oro is a 15 room gem of a hotel/bed and breakfast. The environment is very relaxing, there is not a lot of activity on the island of Contadora. The staff was gracious and attentive, dinner and ambience is outstanding. Good vibes all around, but don't expect brand new, this is a beach hotel, a nice one, great AC in the room, but not modern plumbing, water pressure etc.. limited island resources.
Tony is a great host, a very kind and helpful guide who supported us with useful info and tips throughout our stay on the island. The inn is located in a very quiet place.
Thomas, Harry and Charlie run a superb place here. The B and B is stunning. Superb seating areas in the back garden where breakfast is served. Resident dear and other animals in the garden. We even saw a sloth! Breakfast was presented nicely and was amazing! Rooms are clean and comfortable, bed was great as well. We were a group of 5 that visited. They really went out their way to ensure we had a pleasant stay and even picked us up and dropped us off at the ferry. 2nd time here, highly recommend.
