This recently renovated bed and breakfast is located 17 km from Mystery Creek Events Centre and 22 km from Hamilton Gardens. The property is non-smoking and is located 27 km from Waikato Stadium. ALD would be the cleanest holiday accommodation we have ever stayed at. Friendly hosts, but not intrusive. Breakfast was fabulous, with a great selection of spreads and cereals. Loved the bowl of fruit. Quiet and private.

Featuring a private entrance, the bed and breakfast allows guests to maintain their privacy. The room was lovely, very clean and spacious. Easy walk to town and a wonderful breakfast. Really enjoyed talking with Louise and our other breakfast guests. Great start to our holiday!

All units come with a seating area, a flat-screen TV with satellite channels and a private bathroom with a hairdryer and shower. A fridge and kettle are also available. Wow! The views from this property are just beautiful! We got lucky to have a couple of very clear days and from the hilltop property you could see the mountains and lake in the distance. Our hosts were super nice and accommodating and cooked us a great breakfast each day. One of the days they even got up early to make us breakfast at 6:30am before we left for the Tongariro Alpine Crossing. It's a great central location very close to Taupo but also not far from Rotorua, Turangi, and the Tongariro National Park. A nice touch is that the shower enclosure contains the steam so the bathroom mirror doesn't get all foggy. And there's a heated rack for the towels so they dry quickly. The small touches do make a difference. Another great thing about the property is the owner's 3 friendly Labrador Retrievers. One of them loved playing fetch and I think she could do it all day long. We also got to feed their sheep and deer in the morning, not something you get to do every day!

Outdoor seating is also available at the guest house. I loved how clean and open the space was. Since we were there only one night, we didn’t get to use much of what was offered, like the board games, the grill, or the back yard, but we definitely noticed and appreciated the amount of things there were to do here.
