When you dont know your way around or want to stay in to enjoy the gardens and birds , Qis thoughtfulness in providing staples for the day is so appreciated. Qi, her husband and mother are amazing hosts. This was a quick stop prior to boarding a cruise ship.But we look forward to coming back one day just to stay at echo lodge.

The hosts are extremely friendly and the location is directly at the entry of the park.

A continental breakfast is available every morning at The Grange. Tea, coffee and snacks are available all day. Everything. It was exactly like in the pictures. It was in a nice and quiet area but still within walking distance to restaurants, bus stops and Mount Eden. It was great to start the day with a nice breakfast with fresh fruit, yogurt, juice, toast and just the perfect cappuccino and not having to go out for it. Tipps were to go and how to get there. Heather and Roy really make you feel welcome. It’s home away from home and for us it was the perfect start for traveling New Zealand.

The hosts were very welcoming and friendly and also very easy going and flexible. We got a lot of good recommendations from Bruce and we all liked them. So definitely recommend to stay here!

We were expecting a comfortable B&B bedroom and were most pleasantly surprised to get a fully equipped cottage with private outdoor area and garden attached. The breakfast was delivered to the door and outstanding - better than anything that was served in a restaurant or cafe during our trip in NZ
