Featuring a private entrance, the guest house allows guests to maintain their privacy. We stayed for two nights, once after arriving on the bus from Managua and then again when returning on the boat from El Castillo. It is in the perfect location for the bus terminal and boat port (2 minute walk). The rooms are basic but clean. Great value for money.
Breakfast was delicious , fresh fruit, spicy omelette bread and honey. We were the only guests so we had a lot of space to enjoy the views and relax by the river. Warm shower was much appreciated after our trip on the river and into the Indio Maiz.
Beautiful House / Rooms and terrace. Very good breakfast, italian dish for dinner with vegetables/herbs from the own garden, fresh fruit juices and very helpfull host/staff.
A great place to stay! A lovely old house, clean, comfortable and on a quiet street close to the centre for the bus and boats. The owners are extremely kind people, I needed to change my dates twice due to a chane of plans and then unforseen circumstances and they were very generous and understanding. I booked and stayed here both times I was in San Carlos. Overall, fantastic value and would absolutely recommend a stay here!
The lodge is beautifully set in the middle of the jungle next to the river. The staff was very helpful with organising further travels, everyone was genuinly friendly (they made me feel very welcome), and Orlando was a great guide for exploring and learning about the surrounding forest and its inhabitants. I recommend it to everyone whose budget allows for this luxury experience in nature...
