The town center is about 1km away with some restaurants, but the food that they make at the guest house is amazing. We liked it so much that they invited us to help in the kitchen the next day and it was such a great experience! The family is so kind and will do anything to make your stay amazing. Many people coming here and just stay one day for the safari but I recommend staying another to enjoy the hospitality and the activities here (cooking, biking to the other lakes or temple, relaxing with the family etc). They can also organize a safari for you, or you can do it online. I highly recommend this guest house to anyone who wants a genuine Sri Lankan experience and a modern clean room!
