We didn't really met with the hosts but they had a great system getting the keys with clear instructions. We're certainly very happy.

Kintetsu Nara Station is a 13-minute walk away, while Kasuga Taisha Shrine is a 20-minute stroll. This is not a typical hostel where there are lots of people living in the same room with a chill vibe, but I like this hostel a lot. Located in the residential area (pretty close to many tourist attractions though), this hostel is adapted from a single-family-detached-home and is run by the Tamura family. The host was a welcoming lady who showed the facilities in detailed once I arrived at the place. In my room (mixed dorm), there're only 4 bunks and 2 of them are empty during my one night stay so it's really great. The bed is cozy, the facilities are good to use and free(like slippers, toothbrush set, towels, water & barley tea etc.) There're two shower room (and one of them is traditional japanese style bathtub. The host prepared warm water for us to use in advance. Not a lot to say but I love the tranquil vibe of the hostel itself as well as the surroundings. If I will revisit Nara again, I'll come here again.

This bed and breakfast provides free private parking, a shared kitchen and free WiFi. The property features services including meeting and banquet facilities and cooking classes. The property is away from town and very quiet and peaceful, allowing for a good night's rest. The included breakfast was home cooked and piping hot - vegetable soup, potato omelette, salad, fresh fruit, yoghurt, and home baked bread, butter and jam, coffee or tea. There is hot water, coffee, tea, and biscuity snacks available downstairs 24/7. There are just 2 rooms, both upstairs, in traditional Japanese style - tatami and futon. The hosts are both charming, and extremely helpful, picking up from the nearest station and helping me changing my train ticket. I will stay there again if I come back to Yoshino.

The place is well stocked with needed amenities, and the host did a great job explaining how it all works. Next time I'm in Japan I will try to come back to Nara just to stay here!

At the bed and breakfast, each unit comes with bed linen and towels. We loved absolutely everything at Irodori. The ryokan is beautiful, thoughtfully and artistically designed, very quiet and spacious. She served the best cup of fresh ground coffee I've had in my 4 weeks travelling throughout Japan. She was helpful in meeting our train late in the evening and helped us forward luggage to another hotel a bit further out on our journey.

Beautiful accommodation. Hosts were very kind and attentive. The b&b is spacious and beds very confortable. Coffee of course is delicious ! Breakfast is good too.
