This recently renovated guest house is located 1.7 km from Tobata Saint Andere Church and 3.6 km from Kitakyushu Museum of Natural History & Human History. Guests can enjoy city views. I really enjoyed that this located inside a little neighborhood so you get all the charms and experience of living in Japan like a local. The owner is super nice and I loved talking to her about my plans and other things, (I personally just enjoy when the owners are interested in giving recommendations about what to do or are just interested in getting to know their clients) It’s about a 10minute walk from the station (although keep in mind it is up a little hill if you are walking with a heavy bag from the station) which I like since at night it’s very quiet and easy to sleep since there are no cars racing by at night. The convenience stores are also about a 8 to 10minute walk away, but the fridge has been nicely separated so you know you have room to put your items in the fridge( if you don’t want to walk to the convenience store every morning to get coffee and food). I ended up utilizing the fridge more than I expected since I don’t usually use the fridges in large hostels since I tend to forget what food is mine if I can’t see my items. I recommend what I did which is to remember when I was walking back from the station at night to grab coffee and food at 7-eleven, so I could have a longer sleep-in in the morning.

They warmly helped to make sightseeing plan and gave us both lifts to pick us up to the station late at night and bring us to the station in the morning.

At the guest house, the units have a desk and a TV. This boutique guesthouse is in the converted family home of the owner who was on hand to greet us (in perfect English) when we arrived. The build quality and refurbishment of the house is immaculate. The furnishings and facilities are spotless, the beds very comfortable. We had two spacious rooms with a shared bathroom suite between them. Breakfast was very generous - cereals, fruit and pastries.

Open from May 2021, the Comfort Inn Fukuoka Tenjin is located 300 metres from Inter Media Station IMS Building. Nishitetsu Fukuoka (Tenjin) Station and Nakasu are 4 minutes on foot from the property. Free WiFi is available throughout the property. So close to the subway. But need to carry all the luggages to climb many stairs to exit from subway. My favourite convenience shop Lawson is nearby. The river and the walking street are nearby too! So many good restaurants can be found there. Staffs are so nice and helpful! Our room was big, the biggest that never seen in Japan! Room was clean and beds were comfortable. Our room type has bathtub and we enjoyed baths almost every night! Coffee machine nears the reception, it was so lucky that we could have a hot coffee while going out to wind. Overall we enjoyed so much staying here! Would like to come back again!
