The accommodations are comfortable, and the location is near the port and favored with a magnificent view. The architecture of the building is beautiful and unusual, and the story of the hospitality sector on the island, which Giancarlo related to us, is highly interesting. My wife and I think it’s a great place to stay.

Nice and sincere host who helped us with advice and told us a lot about the iceland. Amazing terrace with a fabulous view on Fossa Mountain. Really lovely place and hospitality beyond our expectations. It was so good so we prolonged our stay for 3 more nights 🥰

The location was excellent, a short walk from the port and the main part of the town for restaurants and shopping in a quiet location. Our room was very comfortable and spotlessly clean. Breakfast every morning was excellent (the freshly baked apple cake was so delicious!), and the host family and staff were all really helpful and friendly. We would definitely stay here again (for longer and in a room with a terrace next time) and will happily recommend this property to any of our family and friends who visit Santa Marina Salina in the future.

Rooms at Il Gelso all have a private entrance from a patio area and come with a fridge and private bathroom. Almost all have a view of the Mediterranean Sea. My husband and I enjoyed our stay at Il Gelso Vacanze. Our room was clean and roomy, we loved the huge terrace off our room. Breakfast could not be faulted, thankyou Paolo for all your help. We highly recommend il Gelso.
