The hosts were lovely and breakfast in their kitchen was amazing. My room & bed were large with firm pillows; I was able to open window to get fresh air; gardens were delightful and the deck was lovely to sit on and relax after a long days drive. Ensuite was a good size with strong HOT water. A small area in hallway was set up with T/C/S, with a jug of milk, biscuits and bottles of cold water available in a small fridge.

I only used Templemacateer for bed and breakfast. I slept very well in the bed but I must sat that the breakfast was exceptionally good. Also the helpfulness and service of the hostess was above and beyond any reasonable expectations.

Inny River Lodge offers a rural setting next to the Inny River and surrounded by unspoilt countryside. The breakfast was wholesome and filling.

Quietly situated, the family-run Shelmalier House is just 5 minutes’ drive from the town of Athlone. It features a sauna, free Wi-Fi, and free private parking. This place was wonderful. The owner Jim went out of his was to make us welcome and comfortable. There was glitch in our plans and Jim went out of his way to get it fixed fot us. It was raining and we got wet and cold-he brought us a heater.that warmed us up. He could not have been more helpful. The room was clean and very comfortable. Breakfast was delicious. Highly recommend this place. 😀
