At the bed and breakfast, the units are fitted with bed linen and towels. This was the best accomodation we've ever had. There were so many wow moments that it is difficult to describe it all. It is a small pension owned by a very nice couple, that made us feel better than at home. Room was very nice, clean, with big bathroom. There was a home made cake prepared for us when we arrived. Breakfast are freshly made by owners, everything is delicious, and there is a big selection of home made cakes, that are simply gorgeous. Surroundings are very nice as well. We felt so good we didnt want to leave.
Dufftown
Situated in Dufftown, in a historic building, 22 km from Huntly Castle, Abbeyfield B&B is a guest house with a garden and shared lounge. The property is around 29 km from Elgin Cathedral, 33 km from Leith Hall Garden & Estate and 37 km from Kildrummy Castle. Boasting family rooms, this property also provides guests with an outdoor fireplace. A delightful B&B in Dufftown. Kira and Tom are excellent hosts and have created a lovely guesthouse. This is an excellent place from which to explore the distilleries and everything this area has to offer. I would recommend it to anyone.

The property is easy to get to, beautiful on the in and outside. A traditional home with a modern twist. The hosts are kind and helpful. Our room while being super aesthetic, was very comfy (we could hardly get out of bed :)) Breakfast was tasty and generous with plenty of options. All in all 10/10.

Everything was perfect from the beginning when we met Gillian to all the food that was in the fridge and the cleanliness of the apartment ! What a pleasure to take a bath after a day of hiking ! From the house, you can make a beautiful hike to see the beach and the New Slains Castle ! Thank you again for everything !

A lovely place in a charming little location, just 10 min drive from the next town with a couple of nice restaurants. Accommodation is a little appartment inside a detached cottage, completely new and fresh, with a view on the surrounding countryside. Room peaceful, with a bed of great quality. Would have liked to stay a bit more and visit the area. The hosts are very kind and make sure the stay is enjoyable. A place to be recommended.

Everything was just wonderful. A very clean and cosy bedroom, amazing hosts (thank you Eileen and Jim for the nice chat) and a splendid breakfast. When I come back (what I intend to do), I'll stay there!

It was spotlessly clean and elegant with a nice southern views of some of the beautiful homes in the area and hills in the distance. Natali and Tony were great hosts with much information to share about Ballater. Great walks and hikes right out of the front door. I especially liked the hike to the summit above Ballater called Craigendarroch. The “outside” pic is from the summit of this hike. The walk along the River Dee is quite enjoyable also. Fantastic breakfast! Natali shines in this regard in spite of me seeing Tony wearing an apron one morning. 😁 The “lobby” picture is one of the dining room tables set for breakfast. We would go back in a heartbeat!

This is a charming cottage. Through in a busy location it is set back from the road and is totally quiet and private. The hosts were extremely responsive and cooperative.

Great location, for a variety of activities. It was a really quiet, peaceful, and picturesque spot. The Hayloft was utterly charming, with so much character. A real haven of peace. There was so much thought put into what people would need, such as a well equipped kitchen, cosy blankets and books to peruse. We were welcomed by our lovely host Sharon, who was so helpful and warm. We have already booked our next stay. I would highly recommend this property.
The house is in an excellent location; in fact, the bus and railway stations are under a ten minute walk. Although there is no full breakfast, there are cereals, milk, coffee, tea, and lots of fresh fruit. Very quiet and private. I would definitely return if I find myself back in Aberdeen.
Room was spacious and comfortable, with everything we needed. Position was very convenient to get into city centre without having to drive. Parking on site. Breakfast was self serve and had a very good variety including fresh fruit. Host was charming and helpful.
Great location just 10 minutes walk from the bus/train station, close to union street and the city centre. On a quiet street with very little noise, staff are quick to respond to any requests and inform you of any changes immediately, to ensure you have a stress free stay, would definitely return again.
