Located in Ballater, within 17 km of Balmoral Castle and 46 km of CairnGorm National Park, St Andrews House provides accommodation with a garden and free WiFi as well as free private parking for guests who drive. The property is situated 20 km from Aboyne Golf Club, 24 km from Corgarff Castle and 32 km from Craigievar Castle. Our second floor room was wonderful. It was spotlessly clean and elegant with a nice southern views of some of the beautiful homes in the area and hills in the distance. Natali and Tony were great hosts with much information to share about Ballater. Great walks and hikes right out of the front door. I especially liked the hike to the summit above Ballater called Craigendarroch. The “outside” pic is from the summit of this hike. The walk along the River Dee is quite enjoyable also. Fantastic breakfast! Natali shines in this regard in spite of me seeing Tony wearing an apron one morning. 😁 The “lobby” picture is one of the dining room tables set for breakfast. We would go back in a heartbeat!

This former church has been tastefully converted, enabling retention of the original features. Auld Kirk Hotel is situated in the heart of picturesque Royal Deeside. It features free Wi-Fi and free off-site parking.

Comfortable, well-appointed room which was quiet despite being adjacent to the main road into the town. The owners and their staff know their business very well, and work hard to present a very high standard (e.g., great breakfasts!). The building is a converted church, and retains some characterful features from its previous use. Location is a short walk to the bars and restaurants in the town.

Great property in an amazing location. The welcome glass of wine was a nice touch but the main reason I would stay again, is the service levels. The owners really went above an beyond to make sure we were happy. Will definitely recommend to a friend!

Great location, just a short walk from the Cambus O'May footbridge. Good cheese board and a fine pint of Belhaven Best. I had a lovely, cozy single room with a decent view, a comfy bed and a wonderful rain shower (once I worked out the taps!) Breakfast was continental, with a wide choice of breads, cereals, juices and some fresh fruit. The coffee machine worked very well. Also a red squirrel hopped across the gravel outside the dining room window.

Dormie Cottage is a charming wee Bungalow in an enclosed garden on a very quiet street on the edge of Ballater. It sleeps a family of 4-5, and we were extremely comfortable the 3 days we spent in the town!

Quaint, charming, beautifully appointed rustic hotel in the centre of the town. Friendly staff and superb restaurant. The room was small but very neatly furnished with what appeared to be a recently renovated bathroom. Bedding, towels, and consumables were all of very high quality and comfort.
