The house was immaculate and nicely decorated. My wife is a gardener and really appreciated all the fresh flowers inside. This was our first trip since COVID and we had some special needs that our hosts graciously accommodated. Best place we stayed during our vacation.

Everything was just perfect. Hazel gave us a warm welcome and showed us all we needed to know. The room was big and so cozy, and the view over the garden was lovely. Our bathroom was big as well and fitted every need you might have. Every morning was highlighted by the delicious breakfast. We could choose from a variety of choices (eggs, bacon, haggis, sausage, etc.) and help ourselves with juice and cereals. Outside we had plenty of space in their lovley garden to enjoy and just relax in one of the benches. Parking was never a problem and all in all it was a wonderful place for the first days of our trip.

Location of property was ideal being on a private access lane so it was very peaceful with lovely views. Room was very clean and comfortable and the breakfast was delicious.

Located just 36 km from Drumlanrig Castle, The Ken Bridge Hotel features accommodation in New Galloway with access to a terrace, a bar, as well as a housekeeping service. Very welcoming people in the Ken Bridge & lots of informative about the hotel history & the bridge. Lovely patio for a drink @ rear of building with river, trees & wildlife.

This family-run hotel is situated in Newton Stewart, a charming Scottish town on the River Cree. With free Wi-Fi throughout and free parking on site, it is around 5 minutes’ walk from the town centre.... I was very comfortable and slept well. The room was clean and spacious. The location was great and gave me access to everything I wanted to do and easy walks to places for dining, shopping, activities and bus stops.

The Crown Hotel is situated in Newton Stewart in picturesque Wigtownshire, in the heart of Dumfries and Galloway. It features a restaurant and elegant rooms with original features. The service was unmatched, every member of staff were helpful, efficient and friendly, they couldn't do enough for you. The restaurant menu was great - a lot of variety especially with the specials menu changing frequently too. Breakfast was also a winner, continental and a full Scottish breakfast if you wanted (you could pick as many or as less items as wanted). The hotel is more than 300 years old so it was lovely staying somewhere that holds a small amount of history.

This 280 year old coaching inn in the heart of New Galloway boasts cosy en suite rooms, real ale, a good selection of malts, and a popular local produce restaurant. Lovely old hotel in the middle of the village. I called in & asked if I could drop off heavy rucksack & the proprietor Susan said I could check in early. She was very nice to chat with & so helpful. Comfy room & bed, good shower. Everything I needed. Big breakfast. I had a great walk down to Kenmure Castle - fascinating, spooky place in beautiful surroundings (see my photo). Could have very happily stayed for a week!
