Many other nearby golf clubs can be reached within walking distance from the B&B. The hostess Heather very friendly and entertaining and answered all our annoying questions with great Scottish humor. Private en suite and a FABULOUS well behaved dog.

Set opposite Musselburgh Racecourse, Arden House - rooms with continental breakfast is a Victorian villa which still retains its original features. Conveniently located 1 mile from the beach and 30 minutes’ drive from Edinburgh, guests can explore the beautiful Scottish countryside as well as easily reach the capital. Amazing staff, nothing too much trouble. Even waited for me to arrive at midnight to see me in. For another twenty pound I could have booked the Best Western Hotel and got a plain boring run of the mill every day room. But for less I got a beautiful victorian room with a gorgeous art decco themed en-suite bathroom and wonderfully welcoming hosts. Next time I will be booking direct with you.

The units are equipped with heating facilities. The hosts went above and beyond in helping me get around the area. They very kindly accommodated my desire to check in early. And they served a sumptuous and delicious breakfast.

Around 10 miles east of Edinburgh city centre, the 14th-century castle on Faside Estate provides luxurious bed and breakfast accommodation. It offers free parking and WiFi and continental breakfast served in your room. It was a great opportunity to stay in a renovated castle, with the use of two floors & the roof top which had excellent views over Edinburgh & Blackness Bay. The 7ft bed was really comfy & basically we had everything we needed including loads of breakfast & lots of hot water for a relaxing bath after a long day. Our hosts Iain & Sue were also lovely and made us feel very welcome indeed.

The Golf Tavern has a shared lounge, restaurant, a bar and water sports facilities in Haddington. Located around 31 km from Edinburgh Playhouse, the inn with free WiFi is also 31 km away from Royal Mile. The property is non-smoking and is situated 14 km from Muirfield.

John, the owner, and the rest of his staff went above and beyond to accommodate our needs during our stay. We landed at The Golf Tavern after a long journey from the states, and it was the perfect place to get settled before our 3 week trip around Scotland. Close to Edinburgh without paying Edinburgh prices. Experience the local culture in the pub at night with a pool table and darts. John even let us use his PC for a few minutes to accomplish a work task. We asked him if it was hard to run an inn, and he said no, "you just look after people" in his charming Scottish accent. 11/10 would recommend :)

Every room has a flat-screen TV. Some rooms feature a seating area where you can relax. You will find a kettle in the room. Extras include free toiletries and a hairdryer. Room was big, clean and very nice. Breakfast (I had panncakes twice) was really tasty and good coffee. Pub downstairs was nice and food really, really good and meny had lot to offer. Very popular and I recommend to book table at leat Friday/Saturday.
