Owners extremely friendly and they cooked a beautiful breakfast the following morning. Wonderful log fire in breakfast room too. My favourite thing was the pool, spa and sauna for our own personal use for 2 hours. Although you pay extra for this is it so worth it. They even dried out swimsuits for us. So no soggy swimsuits to pack. We will definitely be back.

Glamis Castle is 33 km away and Carnoustie Golf Links is 16 km from the bed and breakfast. Everything was wonderful! Angela is a wonderful hostess. The fridge was stocked with breakfast items and the microwave made it possible for me to heat up soup or something for dinner if I wanted. I really liked being able to take my breakfast/ dinner out to the little enclosed patio and appreciate being outside but still protected from the elements. The Hideaway is secluded if you want alone time but close enough to the town to still be able to participate in things. Tucked right across the street from St Vigeans Church and next to the little museum with Pictish carved stones (both of which are great to visit). It has beautiful walks into the countryside right behind the Hideaway and is only about a mile walk along a little creek to Arbroath Abbey. Another half mile walk through downtown and you’re at Arbroath Harbour. I couldn’t say enough wonderful things about this as it was perfect for my time there.
